A GOAT Comeback Story ● Federer Wins 13 Games in a Row!

🔔TURN ON NOTIFICATIONS TO NEVER MISS AN UPLOAD!🔔 Federer Flipping That Switch! Federer's 2010 AO campaign was undoubtedly one of his finest. Everything he touched seemed to turn into gold. Amidst three notably masterclass performances (namely against Hewitt 4R, Tsonga SF and Murray in the final) there was one little hiccup: Mr. Personality Davydenko himself. Coming into the new year 2010 Nikolay Davydenko was arguably the best player on the planet. At the World Tour Finals in 2009 Davydenko picked up his most valuable silverware when he beat newly crowned Grand Slam champion Del Potro in the final. In the same tournament he also finally broke a 12 consecutive match win streak that Federer enjoyed over the little Russian. Nikolay got the GOAT monkey off his back by finally beating the world no.1 for the first time. But Federer wasn't the only victim who fell at the hands of Davydenko's new found powers. The Russian also beat Nadal at the WTF 2009 in London and repeated that little feat by swatting away both GOATs at Doha in 2010, roaring to victory in the final against Rafa after having had to swallow a bagel set loss to the Spaniard in the first set. Davydenko had the x-factor. His service woes were gone. He had believe, and was playing the finest attacking tennis of his career. Riding a 12-match win streak the question again was placed on the shoulders of the 3-time champion Down Under. Federer was to meet the Russian Unabomber in the quarterfinals of the first slam of the year and he sure as hell didn't want to lose three times in a row to the ironically dubbed Mr. Personality. A nickname reiterated by Jim Courier in their off the cuff on-court post-match interviews. Davydenko was likeable and his endearing awkwardness that sprung from his lack of the English language spoke to the Aussie crowd. Then an amazing quarterfinal unfolded. The initial proceedings were exactly as Federer feared; Davydenko was completely in the zone. Striking as early as he could on every short ball. Equally deadly off both wings with little to no mistakes to his name. Before Fed realized what had happened he was 1 set and a break down. Serving at 1-3 15-40 in the second set, imminent doom was upon the Maestro. Under the relentless hot Australian sun there were no dark clouds that seemed to gather and upset the Russian's impeccable magnificent ball striking. What happened next, however, no one could have ever predicted...
